More About the St. Augustine Film Festival

Hosted in historic Downtown St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Film Festival has grown to become of the top Florida film festivals! From foreign films and independent films to documentaries, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of one-of-a-kind movies.

The director of the film festival, Gregory von Hausch, is also responsible for the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and handpicks some of the best films from that event to show during the St. Augustine Film Festival.

You’ll also have the option to view any and all films that you may be interested in. Whether it’s just one or all of them, you can purchase a pass that is just right for you! Holders of the All Access Pass will spend three evenings in beautiful St. Augustine and join the filmmakers and other filmgoers at special parties. It’s an exciting way to converse about the films you’ve just watched and make lifelong memories.

Films at the St. Augustine Film Festival 2019

This January 17th-20th, an entire lineup of fantastic films are waiting just for you! There will be five screening rooms at three locations across St. Augustine’s historic district including the Lewis Auditorium and the Gamache-Koger Theater.

Here is a quick look at just a few of the films that will be shown at the St. Augustine Film Festival:

  • Cracking Aces: This documentary tells the fascinating story of the women who broke through the glass ceiling of professional poker.
  • Rescue Under Fire: Based on a true story, Rescue Under Fire follows the crew of a medical helicopter that suffers an accident after helping USA and United Nations troops under Spanish command in Afghanistan.
  • A Tree. A Rock. A Cloud.: In the spring of 1974, a young boy and an older man meet by chance at a roadside cafe. The man delights the young boy with a tale of personal heartbreak and loss and his understanding of love. This film has already won several awards and is the directional debut of actress Karen Allen.
