3 St. Augustine Bike Trails That You Have to Try

1. Lehigh Greenway Rail Trail

There’s a reason the Lehigh Greenway Rail Trail is one of the best bike trails in St. Augustine! Comprising 194.95-acres of Flagler County, this popular trail was created where a historic railway corridor used to run.

Instead of train tracks, you’ll find both dirt and paved trails that meander through Florida’s beautiful natural scenery. It’s the perfect way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and find peace in the beauty of nature.

2. Palatka Trail

The Palatka Trail is so extensive, it is still in development! Currently, it begins in northeast Florida near St. Augustine and runs nearly 47-miles to State Road 238 in Lake Butler.

The trail is also completely paved and is ideal for cycling, hiking, and searching for local wildlife that you may find along the way.

3. Anastasia State Park

Anastasia State Park is located right outside the historic city of St. Augustine and highlights more than 1,600 acres of pristine beaches, tidal marshes, and more natural Florida beauty.

There are many miles of trails that wind through ancient sand dunes and maritime hammocks, and cyclers are more than welcome to explore to their heart’s content.
