4 St. Augustine Beaches in Florida That You’ll Love

1. St. Augustine Beach

As the most popular beach in our area, St. Augustine Beach is an absolute must for your itinerary! No matter what time of day you visit, there is always a plethora of activities for you to enjoy on this clean and welcoming shoreline. You’re welcome to simply lounge in the sand while taking in the scent of salt water, fish from the shore, go shelling, windsurf on the waves, and much more. There is plenty of public parking available for St. Augustine Beach, or you can walk there from our inn!

2. Crescent Beach

Located just south of St. Augustine Beach, Crescent Beach is a gorgeous stretch of Florida coastline that earns its name from its natural, crescent shape. The very small amount of commercial development in this area makes it one of our guests’ favorite spots for a relaxing day on the beach. Visitors can enjoy activities such as bike rides by the water, sand volleyball, boogie boarding, and horseback riding.

Vehicle beach access is available at Crescent Beach, but in very minimal amounts. There are several other access points that you can use, and they can be found on the Points & Pavilions interactive map.

3. Vilano Beach

If you wander just north of St. Augustine’s historic district, you’ll find one of the area’s best-kept secrets! Vilano Beach in St. Augustine boasts a steep drop-off and heavier surf, making it ideal for visitors seeking adrenaline-pumping surfing opportunities. This is also a hotspot for fishermen since this is where you’ll find one of the area’s top fishing spots, Vilano Beach Pier! After an exciting day on the beach, wander into the charming town of Vilano Beach to explore the town’s retro Art Deco style, the variety of art galleries, and incredible restaurants.

4. Frank B. Butler County Park

Located in Anastasia State Park, Frank B. Butler County Park provides two miles of quiet shoreline. This beach is also dedicated to preserving the area’s sensitive dune ecosystem, so you’ll be sure to come across wildlife such as the endangered beach mouse and gopher tortoise during your visit. When you’re not admiring the Florida wildlife, grab a spot on the beach’s soft, white sand to enjoy a full day of sunbathing, swimming, and relaxation.
